The Leagues

When you play Penalty Shoot-Out World Cup special edition you are playing in two leagues, a Team League and a Personal League. Each league will run for the duration of the World Cup competition and you must keep the same team until the end; the team you choose does not affect you in the Personal League.

Team League

Every time you play you contribute to your team's standing in the league. The result of each Penalty Shoot-Out contest will be used to calculate a team's success rate which will be shown as a percentage; so if you play 10 games and win 8 of them you have an 80% success rate and if you play 100 games and win 70 of them you have a 70% success rate. This rating will change every time anyone anywhere in the world plays your team, so the more times you play and win the more you will contribute to your team's position in the league.

Anyone in the world can play for or against your country.

Personal League

Everyone who plays a team in the Team League is in the Personal League and you are playing against all of them; not their team against yours, but you against them. It is your personal performance that counts.

Every time you win a game you get 3 points, but if you are beaten you loose 1 point. A win ratio is also calculated instead of goal difference as used in the Team League.

You must use whatever strategy you think will be most successful when deciding to keep players, exchange them, or enhance them. Don't forget that you can exchange and then enhance a player.
